POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager delivers cross-functional, high-impact initiatives using PMI-aligned practices, spanning technology integrations/implementations, operational improvements, policy/procedure updates, and clinical standards supported by monitoring systems. The role partners with internal and external stakeholders to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk; maintain structured project documentation; and provide clear updates and written executive summaries in a fast-paced, distributed/hybrid environment.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead projects, change management initiatives, and programs from charter to closeout.

  • Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and acceptance criteria for projects ranging from technology implementations to policy/procedure updates.

  • Create and maintain the integrated project plan (WBS, schedule, resources, comms, quality, vendors).

  • Run project governance and stakeholder meetings; document decisions and actions.

  • Maintain standard project documentation in a structured repository, using assigned project codes and consistent file organization.

  • Manage schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource assignments.

  • Track progress; maintain action and RAID logs; provide routine status updates.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholder communications, follow-ups, and escalations.

  • Manage multiple projects and cross-project dependencies.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver on commitments.

  • Manage risks and issues; drive mitigation and escalation.

  • Provide written executive summaries and briefings on status, risks, and decisions.

  • Track budget (forecast vs. actual), analyze variances, and escalate financial risks.

  • Coordinate training and change management to support adoption.

  • Close projects (acceptance, transition, documentation, lessons learned); other duties as assigned.

  • All other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS


Education (Preferred): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

  • PMP preferred (CAPM acceptable with commitment/timeline to obtain PMP).


Experience: 

  • Five (5)+ years of project management experience in a corporate setting, preferably within healthcare (operations, systems/technology, process improvement, and training/rollout projects).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and vendors; manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk; and provide written executive updates and project summaries.

  • Knowledge of the 4DX (4 Disciplines of Execution) model is a plus.

  • Project experience with EMR/EHR implementations, integrations, or optimization (Epic preferred) is a plus.


Skills: 

  • Project planning and controls (scope, schedule, dependencies, budget).

  • Communication: interpersonal influence and collaboration; written summaries; executive presentations; meeting facilitation.

  • RAID management (risks, issues, actions, decisions).

  • Project governance and documentation (plans, status, agendas/minutes).

  • Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Visio.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

The work environment is mainly in office. While performing the essential functions of the job the employee may come into contact with a wide variety of circumstances. The team member may be exposed to unpleasant situations including accidents, injuries, illnesses, employee problems and varying or unpredictable situations. This position is hybrid with on-site in the corporate office expected 2 – 3 days a week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am until 5:30pm).
