Role Description The Fashion Stylist Advisor will provide personalized styling and wardrobe guidance to clients, ensuring each ensemble reflects their individual preferences, occasion, and cultural context. In this full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the advisor will conduct styling consultations, curate looks from SHAHVAR’s collections, and assist clients with fittings and tailoring recommendations. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming and engaging clients in-store, understanding their needs and style goals, coordinating outfits and accessories, and maintaining an elevated customer experience aligned with the brand’s luxury positioning. The advisor will also support sales by presenting product options, explaining design details and fabric choices, collaborating with the tailoring and design teams, and contributing to visual merchandising and in-store presentation as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and the ability to explain styling concepts clearly and confidently.
- Proficiency in fashion styling, outfit coordination, and wardrobe planning, with an understanding of ethnic, formal, and Indo-Western menswear.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a client-centric mindset and ability to build long-term relationships in a luxury retail environment.
- Sales and retail skills, including client engagement, product presentation, and support in achieving store sales goals.
- Knowledge of fabrics, cuts, fits, and tailoring, particularly in men’s ethnic and formal fashion; prior experience in luxury or designer menswear is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, including weekends and peak festive/wedding seasons, with strong time-management and organizational abilities.
- Comfort working collaboratively with design, merchandising, and tailoring teams, and using basic digital tools (POS systems, scheduling, client records).
- Relevant education in fashion, design, styling, or a related field, or demonstrable professional styling experience.
