Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate Fashion Intern who is keen to learn and explore the intimate apparel industry. This role will provide hands-on exposure to merchandising, sourcing, product development, and industry research.
This is an excellent opportunity for students or freshers who want to build a career in fashion merchandising, buying, or sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development Support
- Assist the team in developing products across lingerie, innerwear, sleepwear, swimwear, and activewear.
- Help in coordinating sampling, fittings, and approvals.
Research & Trend Analysis
- Conduct research on global fashion trends, fabrics, trims, and innovations.
- Study competitor brands and product offerings in the intimate apparel segment.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Support communication with factories and suppliers for sampling and production updates.
- Assist in tracking sample status and follow-ups.
Documentation & Data Management
- Maintain product sheets, sampling records, and vendor databases.
- Work on Excel reports and presentations for internal use.
Support in Exhibitions & Industry Activities
- Assist in preparation for events like INTIMASIA & Source NXT.
- Support in coordinating with exhibitors, brands, and visitors.
Social Networking & Industry Outreach
- Use platforms like LinkedIn to connect with industry professionals, brands, and suppliers.
- Assist in building and updating industry contacts database.
Skills Required
- Strong interest in fashion, lingerie, and apparel industry
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Basic knowledge of fashion design / merchandising concepts
- Ability to research and present ideas
- Organized, proactive, and eager to learn
Technical Skills
- MS Excel (basic reporting and tracking)
- MS PowerPoint (presentations)
- MS Word
- Basic understanding of design tools (optional)
