Role Description This is a freelance, on-site/hybrid role based in New Delhi/Noida for a Fashion Illustrator / Sketch Render Artist. The role involves creating detailed fashion sketches and illustrations that accurately represent design concepts, silhouettes, drapes, and embellishments. The illustrator will translate designer ideas into clear visual references for pattern makers, tailors, and embroidery teams, using both hand-drawn and digital techniques. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating closely with designers, refining artwork based on feedback, preparing presentation boards, and maintaining a cohesive visual style across collections. The artist will also support lookbook development, mood boards, and internal design documentation to ensure designs are communicated consistently and professionally.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Drawing and Painting, with the ability to render garments, fabric textures, and human figures accurately.
- Proficiency in Digital Illustration and Graphic Design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar) for creating and refining fashion sketches.
- Ability to work with Graphics and visual layouts to prepare mood boards, presentation decks, and collection overviews.
- Solid understanding of fashion design principles, garment construction, draping, and embellishment techniques.
- Attention to detail, a refined aesthetic sense, and the ability to adapt to the brand’s visual language.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with designers, production teams, and other creative stakeholders.
- Relevant education in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in fashion illustration or working with designer labels is preferred.
