Role Description The Fashion Designer role at veshbhoshaa is a full-time, on-site position based in Gandhi Nagar. The designer will create and develop collections for formal, casual, and traditional Indian wear, with a particular emphasis on kurta pyjama designs. Day-to-day responsibilities include sketching concepts, selecting fabrics and trims, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring accurate fittings and finishing. The role involves researching trends in Indian fashion, collaborating with merchandising and marketing to align designs with brand goals, and maintaining quality standards throughout the design-to-production process. The designer will also contribute ideas for new styles, color palettes, and embellishments that resonate with veshbhoshaa’s customers.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with experience in designing Indian wear collections.
- Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric selection, drape, durability, and suitability for different garments.
- Proficiency in Embroidery techniques and ornamental detailing suitable for kurta pyjama and traditional wear.
- Competence in Fitting, pattern adjustments, and working closely with sampling and production teams.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Ability to translate trend research into commercially viable designs for diverse customers.
- Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and commitment to quality and timelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site.
