Role Description The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, sketching, and developing new designs for Indian wear, including kurta pyjamas, formal shirts, trousers, and other apparel for all genders. Handling dispatches and posting products on our website and other market places. Day-to-day tasks include researching trends, selecting fabrics and trims, creating design specifications, and collaborating with production teams to ensure accurate sampling and final fits. The role also involves overseeing embroidery and surface ornamentation details, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the design and manufacturing process. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, requiring regular coordination with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to bring collections from concept to market.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with a portfolio showcasing Indian wear designs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Textiles and Embroidery, including knowledge of fabrics, trims, and traditional Indian techniques.
- Candidates should possess skills in Fitting, with the ability to develop patterns or work closely with pattern makers to achieve accurate sizing and silhouettes.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Understanding of current Indian fashion trends and consumer preferences.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to iterate based on feedback.
- Prior experience in ethnic or Indian wear design will be an advantage.
