Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Gurugram for a Senior Fashion Designer. The Senior Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and executing new fashion collections in line with market trends and brand identity. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing designs, overseeing fabric selection and testing, managing fittings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, marketing, and sales. The Senior Fashion Designer will also supervise and mentor junior team members and coordinate with external partners, such as suppliers and manufacturers, to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Fashion Design, including the ability to conceptualize and develop innovative designs that align with market trends and brand aesthetics
- Proficiency in working with Textiles and Embroidery, including fabric selection, testing, and application techniques
- Experience in Fitting processes to ensure superior quality and alignment of designs with production standards
- Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and familiarity with CAD tools is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a relevant field
- 5+ years of professional experience in fashion design, ideally within a leadership role
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to mentor junior designers and manage cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of the latest trends in the fashion industry and market demands
