Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Fashion Designer to lead trend-driven, buyer-focused product development at BeOne. This role requires full ownership of the design journey from concept to PO closure, with a strong focus on creating new developments aligned to buyer requirements and market trends.
The designer will act as the key bridge between buyers and internal teams, while also serving as a design and technical advisor to buyers, proactively showcasing our capabilities across design, sourcing, and product development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead new product developments based on buyer briefs, market trends, and BeOne’s / buyers / brand ( depend up on the requirement ) design identity
- Identify and engage with right-fit buyers/customers aligned with brand positioning and price architecture
- Translate buyer requirements into strong design concepts, silhouettes, and print stories
- Act as a design consultant to buyers, providing:
- Design direction and trend inputs
- Technical expertise on construction, fabric, and feasibility
- Value engineering suggestions (cost, finish, alternatives)
- Proactively showcase our capabilities through design proposals, fabric innovations, and development ideas
- Co-create and refine design briefs ensuring alignment with aesthetics, costing, and timelines
- Own customer accounts end-to-end:
- Design direction & seasonal storytelling
- Price points and product positioning
- Fabric and material selection
- Range planning (core vs newness mix)
- Leverage India’s sourcing strengths to enhance product value and uniqueness
- Own the end-to-end design lifecycle: concept → development → sampling → costing → PO finalization
- Work closely with merchandiser team, sourcing, and technical teams to ensure design intent is maintained
- Ensure all developments meet:
- Buyer expectations
- Cost targets
- Quality and fit standards
- Act as the primary point of contact for buyers during development:
- Sharing updates, iterations, and approvals
- Providing design-led and technical solutions during challenges
- Collaborate with merchandiser team to align vendors based on category and season
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Fashion Design, including the ability to create and execute innovative concepts
- Experience in working with Textiles and proficiency in material selection and application
- Knowledge of Embroidery design techniques and applications
- Expertise in garment Fitting and attention to detail to ensure quality
- An understanding of current fashion trends with the ability to adapt and innovate
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team
- Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus
- Previous experience in working with high-end fashion or private label projects is highly desirable
