Alekh is looking for a dedicated Production Manager to independently plan, organize, and manage our end-to-end garment production process. This role requires strong coordination, quality control, and team management skills to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and schedule monthly production activities
* Track worker attendance, productivity, working hours, and leave records
* Manage production timelines to ensure garments are completed and delivered on time
* Identify and resolve production issues such as defects, delays, or material shortages
* Inspect and approve incoming fabrics and materials to maintain quality standards
* Maintain records of fabric swatches, embroidery samples, and dyeing tests for reference
* Conduct final quality checks on finished garments before packing
* Ensure timely sourcing and purchase of fabrics, trims, stitching materials, and accessories
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
* Monitor inventory of fabrics, trims, accessories, dye batches, and finished garments (including barcoding, tagging, and product photos)
* Supervise and coordinate the production team including pattern makers, tailors, embroiderers, and other staff
* Ensure garments are properly packed, labeled, and prepared for dispatch or retail display
Qualifications & Requirements:
*Diploma/Degree in Apparel Manufacturing or Fashion
Management
* 5-7 years of experience in garment production, preferably with a design house
* Knowledge of pattern making, embroidery work, and stitching processes
* Ability to converse in Hindi and Malayalam
* Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory
* Must be currently based in Cochin or willing to work on-site in Cochin
Work Details:
* Full-time, on-site position
* Studio timings: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
* Location: Kochi
