About The Role
We are currently seeking passionate and experienced professionals to join our dynamic team across three key roles within the Design & Production department. The positions available are Fashion Designer (Production), Textile Designer, and Merchandiser (Garments Manufacturing). These roles are integral to our ongoing efforts to innovate and maintain high standards in our product offerings. The successful candidates will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop creative designs, ensure seamless production processes, and meet client specifications and deadlines. Based at our manufacturing facility in Barrackpore, these roles offer an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in the textiles and garment manufacturing industry.
Qualifications
The ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in textile design, garment production, or merchandising is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in textile design tools such as Adobe Suite or equivalent platforms, along with a strong understanding of fabrics, graphics, and design functionality. Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills are essential for success in these roles. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the textiles or garment manufacturing industry, showcasing a solid understanding of production processes, quality standards, and market trends.
Responsibilities
Fashion Designer (Production): Develop and oversee garment designs from initial concept through to production, ensuring alignment with market trends and brand standards. Coordinate with production teams to facilitate sampling and bulk manufacturing, monitor design feasibility, and ensure quality and cost efficiency. Select fabrics, trims, and garment construction techniques, while managing production timelines and approvals to meet delivery schedules.
Textile Designer: Create innovative textile prints, weaves, and embroidery designs while researching current market trends and emerging materials. Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure that textile designs meet brand aesthetics and product specifications. Maintain and update comprehensive design portfolios, ensuring consistency and originality in all textile creations.
Merchandiser (Garments Manufacturing): Manage end-to-end merchandising processes for garment orders, including sourcing fabrics, trims, and accessories. Coordinate with production, sampling, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless order execution. Handle costing, T&A planning, and communication with buyers for approvals and updates. Monitor production progress, ensure adherence to quality standards, and ensure timely delivery of orders. Maintain accurate documentation for orders, invoices, and dispatch, while tracking production status and resolving any issues that may arise during manufacturing.
