Role Description The Fashion Design Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Lucknow campus. The teacher will deliver engaging lectures, studio sessions, and practical workshops covering core fashion design fundamentals, such as illustration, pattern making, garment construction, fabric knowledge, and fashion trends. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing and updating course materials, mentoring students on projects and portfolios, and evaluating student performance through assignments and examinations. The role also involves guiding students on industry practices, participating in academic planning and department meetings, and supporting institutional events such as fashion shows, exhibitions, and placements. The teacher is expected to foster an inclusive, creative classroom environment that encourages experimentation, professionalism, and industry readiness.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Lesson Planning and Teaching skills for fashion design studios and theory classes.
- Candidates should possess experience in Curriculum Development and Product Design for fashion collections and related projects.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Graphic Design tools useful for fashion illustration, portfolio creation, and presentations.
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Fashion Design or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience or significant industry experience in fashion design, garment production, or fashion retail is highly beneficial.
- Ability to mentor diverse learners, provide constructive feedback, and manage classroom and studio activities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, basic digital literacy, and willingness to collaborate with faculty and industry partners.
- Commitment to maintaining an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment and keeping skills current with fashion industry trends.
