Senior Design Faculty / Associate Professor – Design
(Specializations: Fashion Design / Communication Design)
We are looking for passionate academicians and industry professionals who can inspire the next generation of designers through creative thinking, industry exposure, and academic excellence.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Design (M.Des / MFA / MVA) from a recognized institution
- (NIFT / NID / IIT / reputed international institutions preferred)
Experience
- 6–8 years of overall experience including:
- 3–5 years of teaching experience in a design institute/university
- 3+ years of industry experience in professional design practice
Preferred Profile
- PhD in Design (or pursuing) is an added advantage
- Strong professional portfolio with executed projects
- Experience in curriculum development and academic planning
- Exposure to NAAC / UGC / AICTE / university-affiliated programs
- Participation in exhibitions, conferences, juries, or published work
- Experience mentoring student portfolios and internships
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver studio and theory-based courses at UG & PG levels
- Guide student projects, theses, and portfolio development
- Develop curriculum, assessments, and learning frameworks
- Conduct reviews, critiques, and jury evaluations
- Integrate industry practices into academic learning
- Mentor faculty and contribute to academic leadership
- Facilitate internships, live projects, workshops, and industry collaborations
- Support institutional branding, admissions, and academic quality initiatives
Skills Required
- Strong subject expertise in design specialization
- Excellent studio teaching and mentoring abilities
- Industry-relevant software and tools proficiency
- Communication, critique, and leadership skills
- Ability to bridge academia and industry practices effectively
