About the role

We are excited to announce that we are seeking candidates to fill a Business Service Specialist II position based in Verona, VA.


From day one, you’ll become part of a customer focused, collaborative team committed to supporting agriculture and rural communities. In this role, you’ll serve as a key in office resource for customers while supporting branch lending operations through accurate accounting, loan servicing, and exceptional customer service. You’ll play an important role in ensuring smooth daily branch operations, supporting sales and marketing efforts, and helping deliver a positive experience to our customer owners.


Salary Range: $35,300 – $50,200


Responsibilities / Duties
•    Serve as the primary in office point of contact for current and prospective customers.
•    Perform daily branch accounting activities, including posting payments, verifying transactions, and processing loan disbursements.
•    Support loan maintenance and post closing activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of loan files.
•    Scan and maintain financial and loan documentation within electronic loan systems.
•    Provide administrative and operational support to Loan Officers and branch teams as needed.
•    Assist with branch loan closings and submission of loans for booking.
•    Support delinquency management activities in collaboration with Loan Officers.
•    Cross sell loan products and convenience products, referring leads to the appropriate Loan Officer.
•    Participate in branch marketing initiatives, sales events, and customer appreciation activities.
•    Ensure compliance with security, ethics, and confidentiality standards when handling borrower information.


Required Qualifications
•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    Three or more years of work experience in lending, finance, or a related field.
•    Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Knowledge of credit and accounting processes.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to exercise sound judgment and work collaboratively in a team environment.
•    Willingness to work overtime as needed and travel occasionally to support branch coverage or training.
