Job details:
To provide FlyNava with business/domain expertise in airline competitive fares and pricing support.
1. Utilising data from various sources, in constant liaison with the customers:
2. Develop detailed and deep understanding of Jupiter, our pricing decision support solution with clear focus on every feature around filing and distribution.
3. Become core member of the Jupiter Implementation team by evaluating customer’s practices and recommend customization/gaps in both customer’s and product functionality
4. Ensure that Product Managers, Business Analysts are familiar with Commercial Pricing policies and procedures and pricing structures.
5. Perform comprehensive evaluation and analysis of all online fare proposals received from various Area Managers, local sales offices and general sales agents of our customers to recommend appropriate business logic for automation and build as product feature.
6. Carry out in-depth analysis of customer’s travel agency productivity based, incentive schemes and recommend appropriate action or alternative options to Product Management, prior to their implementation.
7. Evaluate productivity based, corporate agreements based on performance criteria, including anticipated market share, issue approvals or recommendation for appropriate action.
8. Proactively develop other competitive and marketable product features, such as airpass schemes, added value programmes, "companion" offers, etc., which support revenue/yield objectives and convey the merits and unique selling points of such products to our customers.
9. Develop, maintain and distribute to the local sales offices, pricing output in the form of circulars, agreements, website updates, etc. which contain detailed instructions on the application of all pricing plans/programs.
10. In collaboration with the Product Managers, investigate and establish optimum features for distribution strategy for each point of sale using GDS, "Private" GDS facilities, "Online" booking facilities, email, paper distribution etc.
11. Using various electronic data sources and input from customers, assess competitor activity, recommend and prepare competitive responses aimed at retaining market share and optimising revenue.
12. On an ongoing basis evaluate market trends of competing products, performance of past product initiatives and offer proactive recommendations as to pricing actions aimed at supporting customers meet their revenue targets.
13. Offer guidance, assistance and coaching in Pricing "best practices" to FlyNava teams so that they can support implementation of Jupiter at customer locations.
Skills
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Honors’ Degree
- Advanced courses (IATA preferred) in tariffs, ticketing and proration.
- 3 Years + experience in an airline commercial department such as Pricing, Tariffs, Sales or ticketing.
- Through knowledge of GDS, ATPCO fare filing
- Working knowledge of procedures for establishing passenger fares and passenger proration methodologies are essential.
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Proven proficiency in evaluating numerical data, alongside market intelligence in order to develop appropriate product recommendations.
- Ability to work with people at all levels and across cultural boundaries.
