Yuzvendra Chahal made his first appearance in IPL 2012 after he was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 10 Lakhs. However, he got to play his first IPL match for MI in 2013. In 2014, Chahal was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the same price of ₹10 Lakhs. His IPL salary was increased to INR 6 crore in IPL 2018 after he started performing for India as well. He became a crucial player of RCB over the years. After eight years with RCB, Chahal was sold to Rajasthan Royals for INR 6.5 crore ahead of IPL 2022. He had a great outing in his first season with RR as he finished as the leading wicket-taker of the season. For the IPL 2025 season, Yuzvendra Chahal has been bought by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for ₹18 crore.
