The Position

FanDuel Sports Network is seeking a dynamic Senior Reporting Analyst to work in the accounting group. Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting, this position will work extensively with members of the Finance and Accounting groups to book adjustments related to general, rights and production accounting. A successful candidate will be able to work independently, strive to resolve issues and complete tasks without supervision. Additionally, the Senior Staff Accountant will maintain rights schedules and perform monthly variance analyses on the assigned networks. To be successful in the role, you must be able to handle a large volume of tasks and possess the ability to prioritize and closely with business units to complete assigned responsibilities.

This is a hybrid position and can be located in Southport, CT or NYC.

The Game Plan

(What you'll do)

• Assist in all aspects of the company’s financial reporting process, including but not limited to compiling and analysis of financial results and preparation of quarter end workpapers.
• Assist in the preparation of materials to be used for various league (NBA/NHL/MLB) reporting.
• Assist in various ad-hoc reporting for other 3rd party stakeholders.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure consistency among financial and statistical information.
• Assist in the maintenance and compliance of proper documentation surrounding the internal controls over financial reporting of the Company.
• Assist in the coordination of the annual audit with external auditors.
  
  

The Stats

(What to bring)

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required, Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience and familiarity with areas of financial reporting, SEC reporting, and public company experience.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail, accuracy and excellent follow up.
• Solid understanding of general ledger systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently following prescribed schedules and be resourceful.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The compensation range for this position is $80K - $95K. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
