Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Family Physician role based in the Kutch district. The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary care to individuals and families across all age groups, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines. The physician will manage urgent and minor emergency conditions, coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate, timely medical records. Additional duties include counseling patients and families on health promotion, participating in community health initiatives, and contributing to quality improvement activities within the facility.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Primary Care and Family Medicine, with the ability to manage a broad range of conditions across the lifespan.
- Clinical competence in Medicine and Urgent Care, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Experience or interest in Community Health, including preventive care, health education, and community outreach in diverse or underserved populations.
- Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed residency or equivalent training in Family Medicine or a closely related discipline.
- Current medical registration/license in applicable jurisdiction, with no restrictions, and adherence to professional ethical standards.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfort with electronic medical records and basic digital health tools; willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
- Prior experience in a primary care or community-based setting, especially in semi-urban or rural areas, is an advantage.
