SUMMARY
This position provides crisis residential services focused on emergency placement of youth, monitoring program services to assure safety, and to encourage and support individuals in reaching their goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the agency's program and business needs. More specifically, the incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those described below.
· Ensuring recipients basic needs are met including personal hygiene, nutrition, health, sleep routine, and safety.
· Teaching, supporting, and reinforcing skills through role modeling, sharing information, demonstrating, redirecting/directing, prompting, and behavior management, both on an individual and group basis.
· Establishing positive relationships with youth; providing regular oversight of youth’s progress toward goals.
· Completes required written documentation.
· Completes household tasks which maintain a safe, orderly, and clean environment for recipients and other staff.
· May provide transportation to recipients.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Minimum high school diploma and 2 years related training/experience or college work preferred.
· Lived experience with behavioral health issues is desired.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· Mandt, C.P.R. and first aid certification or the ability to become certified/trained
· Acceptable driving record in compliance with agency policy
· Applicants must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with agency policies.
· Must possess use of a personal vehicle for transportation with valid automobile insurance which designates the employee as an insured driver in accordance with agency policy. May utilize Agency vehicles if available.
