Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Field Training Officer (FTO) is to provide field training/evaluation and orientation to new employees (trainees) of Falck Southern California (FSC) and evaluate trainees during their probationary/orientation period to ensure all new trainees demonstrate an understanding of all applicable policies and procedures set forth by FSC and demonstrate proficiency in all skills required by FSC. The FTO is responsible for performing all duties outlined in the EMT Basic position description.
Compensation:
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Falck Mobile Health Corp and IAEP Local 370 Effective May 5th, 2025. Employees designated as Field Training Officers shall receive a four dollar ($4.00) per hour stipend for each hour worked while engaged in training, teaching, or any other FTO related duty.

Essential Duties:
The FTO may be assigned one or more duties. These duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Evaluate, monitor and document performance of the trainees while on duty.
· Participate in remedial training and performance improvement plans.
· Assist trainees in the arrangement of additional training within the guidelines of the Field Training Program at the direction of the Training Manager and/or Training Supervisor.
· Provide regular feedback and written evaluations on a trainee’s progress and performance to the trainee and Training Department Advise the Training Department, or Operations, in a timely manner of any problems that occur, which the FTO feels he/she cannot resolve.
· Participate in ePCR reviews you were directly involved with while on shift with trainees to assure proper patient care and documentation standards are upheld.
· Attend all regularly scheduled training meetings.
· Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the Falck Employee Handbook, Care Ambulance Policies and any all policies including other regulatory documents that may be required by regulatory agencies.

The FTO may be assigned one or more additional duties. These duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Any and all other training duties as assigned by the Training Manager/Supervisor
Qualifications:

The individual in this position must possess the following qualifications:
· Must be an active full-time FSC employee
· Must be in good standing with FSC
· Valid State of California Emergency Medical Technician certification.
· Valid CA driver’s license and remain insurable by Falck USA vehicle insurance standards.
· American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
· No documented disciplinary actions in the past 12 months.
