About the role

At Falck US, Revenue Cycle Management isn’t just numbers – it’s how we help real people after some of the most stressful moments in their lives. Behind every claim is a patient and a family who trusted us in an emergency.

  **Application Deadline May 19, 2026 @ 11:59 pm**

In RCM Billing, you make that part of their journey easier – no blood, no needles, just smart, compassionate support.

You’ll be part of a growing RCM hub in Mesa, where we bring together people, data and technology to run billing in a smarter, more consistent way – with clear roles, clear expectations and clear career paths.

If you want to lead a team, grow fast, and help patients by making the billing process work right the first time, this role is for you.

Position Summary:

The Billing Manager (one out of 3) leads the billing function for an assigned set of markets and contracts (911 and/or IFT), ensuring accurate, timely and compliant claim creation, coding and submission. You are accountable for the billing‑side drivers of revenue, cash flow and cost efficiency in your markets – clean data, correct coding, complete services and well‑prioritized claim production.

You lead through others: developing a team of billing specialists (around 20 people), building winning behaviors, and creating a culture of proactive improvement rather than reactive firefighting. By organizing work smartly, using data and technology, and collaborating with Operation, Insurance Relations, Patient Experience and Support & Transformation, you help deliver First Pass Accuracy, Maximum Efficiency in Billing and a better experience for patients.

What We Offer:

·         Full-Time Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life)

·         401(k) with company match

·        Training and Career Development

·         Generous Paid Time-Off

Essential Functions:

In this role you will:

Lead and grow a high‑performing team

  • Lead and develop a hybrid team of billing specialists to meet agreed performance and quality targets.
  • Set clear expectations, give frequent feedback, and coach team members into strong subject‑matter specialists.
  • Build a culture where people own their results, help each other, and are open to learning new tools and ways of working.

Run day‑to‑day billing operations for your markets

  • Secure efficient daily billing operations for your assigned contracts, including eligibility checks, documentation review, coding and claim submission.
  • Plan staffing, queues and workflows so claims are processed accurately, on time and in a cost‑efficient way.
  • Monitor key metrics (backlog, turnaround time, productivity, quality) and act early when performance drifts.

Drive transformation and continuous improvement

  • Identify bottlenecks and waste in processes and turn them into concrete improvements for your team.
  • Partner with the Billing Leads (Training & Quality, Productivity & Technology, Process Excellence) and with Support & Transformation (Connectivity, Academy, Analysts, Compliance, Master data) to standardize best practices and leverage automation.
  • Support the “daily clean desk” discipline by using data and dashboards to keep work under control and prevent new backlogs.
  •

Protect revenue, cash flow and quality – with patients in mind

  • Improve billing‑side revenue and cash flow by:
  • raising clean‑claim rate,
  • ensuring complete capture of billable services,
  • strengthening documentation and coding quality, and
  • actively driving correct insurance discovery, so we avoid defaulting to self‑pay when coverage can be found.

  • Work with Insurance Relations and Patient Experience to address denial and underpayment patterns through process fixes and targeted training – so patients are better informed and less surprised by bills.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulations and internal policies (HIPAA, CMS, medical necessity, ICD‑10/ICD‑9, payer rules, Falck standards).

Collaborate and report as one Billing leadership team

  • Act as part of one Billing leadership team with the other Billing Managers and the three Billing Leads, sharing learnings and supporting each other.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Insurance Relations, Patient Experience and Support & Transformation to improve end‑to‑end RCM performance in your markets.
  • Establish, monitor and report on KPIs for your markets (clean‑claim rate, coding accuracy, billing turnaround time, productivity, quality) and use these to guide priorities and decisions.

Qualifications:

Bring relevant experience (without needing 20 years of it)

  • Have experience in Revenue Cycle Management, medical billing, healthcare operations, or a similar data‑ and process‑heavy environment.
  • Have previously led people or been a strong informal lead (e.g. senior biller, lead, or supervisor) and are ready for a formal people‑manager role.
  • Are comfortable working with billing platforms (ideally Logis or similar) and payor portals, and you’re not afraid of learning new tools.

Show winning behaviors in how you work

  • Patient‑first: You remember there is a patient behind every claim and want to reduce confusion and stress for them.
  • Ownership: You don’t wait for others to fix problems – you take responsibility, follow up and close the loop.
  • Data‑driven: You like having your numbers and use data to run the day, not just react to yesterday’s issues.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: You always look for a better way – shorter flows, fewer touches, less manual work – and you involve your team in improving how you work.
  • Collaborative: You work well with Operations, Insurance Relations, Patient Experience and support teams, and you’re willing to both challenge and support peers.

Care about people and development

  • Enjoy helping team members grow, giving clear feedback and celebrating progress.
  • Are open, honest and approachable – you live the “winning as one unified team” culture we are building across Falck US.
