Position Overview
The IT Administrative Assistant provides essential clerical and operational support to the Technology and Innovation team. As the primary public face for the department, this role manages in-person reception and
technical inquiry routing while coordinating departmental communications. Beyond traditional clerical duties, the Assistant maintains the integrity of the school’s digital ecosystem through ongoing cleanup of
the Student Information System (SIS) and other data platforms. Furthermore, the role provides critical quality control by auditing tech projects, data migrations, and policy compliance to provide leadership
with actionable insights for high-level oversight. The ideal candidate is a proficient communicator and organized project tracker who balances technical support with a service-oriented heart for the Faith
Lutheran community.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
1. Performs a variety of administrative duties—including answering phone calls, managing
correspondence and emails, filing and copying, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel
arrangements, and maintaining organization—to ensure efficient support for the Technology
Department.

2. Prepare communications, such as memos, emails and other corresponding reports. Strong, clear
and accurate writing skills are necessary.
3. Provide ongoing data cleanup and maintenance across all school data systems, including the
Student Information System (SIS), to ensure accuracy and usability.
4. Identify gaps in project completion or policy compliance and provide actionable insights to the
Director of Technology and Innovation for high-level follow-up
5. Provide administrative support to ensure efficiency and discretion with important information.
6. Proficient with all Google products, especially Google Calendar, Drive, Sheets, and Slides.
7. Provide low-level assistance to users of McDonald Hall.
8. Serve as the main phone contact for technical needs direction calls to appropriate support
technician.
9. Serve as the main receptionist for the Hooks Center, greeting visitors and directing technical
inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
10. Other duties as directed by the Director of Technology and Innovation.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
Education minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Experience in office management is preferred,
with a strong customer service background. Strong writing and communication skills and the ability to
field phone calls. Efficient with multi-tasking while maintaining strict internal and external confidentiality
in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits
The IT Administrative Assistant is a full-time, 12-month non-exempt position. With a competitive salary
range depending on experience. Benefits include: medical, dental and vision insurance, pension, 403b
retirement savings, PTO, paid holidays and a 50% student tuition discount (if applicable).

Terms of Service
The IT Administrative Assistant’s employment shall be on an annual basis. It is assumed that given a
positive performance review, employment will be ongoing.
