job purpose: The Data Science Intern will contribute to Machine Learning projects, helping drive adoption of predictive analytics at fairlife. skills/qualifications required: Must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program Student entering the fall semester as a junior or senior preferred Preferred focus on Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, or a related STEM field Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, or higher Prior experience working with machine learning models Intermediate understanding of Python and SQL Understanding of data visualization best practices Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. learning objectives: Train, test, and deploy machine learning models Develop analytics solutions / dashboards to display model results Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to understand model requirements and business needs Perform analyses on large datasets Re-train existing models where there is drift or business need for model updates internship location: Chicago, IL schedule: Hybrid schedule, on-site minimum 3 days per week internship duration: 6/2/2025 through 8/15/2025 reports to: Sr. Business Intelligence Developer
