Role Description The Faculty in Management and Computer Science will be responsible for delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in relevant management and computer science subjects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, developing course materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic mentoring. The role also involves participating in curriculum enhancement, contributing to academic committees, and engaging in scholarly and institutional activities that support the college’s mission. This is a full-time, on-site position based at SRC in Payyannur, requiring regular campus presence for teaching, student support, and collaboration with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Strong academic grounding in Computer Science and Information Technology, with the ability to teach core and advanced concepts.
- Competence in Programming and related practical skills, enabling effective instruction in coding, software development, and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and practices, with capacity to integrate security awareness into relevant coursework.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessments aligned with university guidelines.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MSc Computer Science, MBA with IT specialization, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching or academic experience at the undergraduate level, preferably in management and computer science disciplines.
- Effective communication, classroom management, and student mentoring skills, with a learner-centered teaching approach.
- Ability to engage in academic research, projects, or institutional development activities; familiarity with educational technology is an advantage.
