Factory Manager – Industrial Instrumentation
Location: Pune
We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager to lead our manufacturing operations for industrial instrumentation products including pressure switches, pressure transmitters, pressure gauges, temperature switches and related products.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, solving manufacturing problems, improving productivity and leading people. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production, maintaining quality standards, improving manufacturing efficiency and ensuring timely deliveries.
The role requires a person who can build a culture of accountability while motivating a team of approximately 25 shop-floor employees to consistently achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day factory operations and ensure smooth production.
- Plan daily and weekly production schedules to achieve delivery commitments.
- Drive maximum productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Supervise, train and motivate a team of approximately 25 production operators and technicians.
- Monitor production output, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce rework, scrap and production losses.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality and Engineering to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Ensure proper manpower allocation across machining, assembly, testing and dispatch.
- Maintain production records, KPIs and manufacturing reports.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to ISO procedures, safety requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Take ownership of delivery commitments and resolve shop-floor issues proactively.
Manufacturing Processes
The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of several of the following:
- CNC and conventional machining
- Turning, milling and drilling operations
- Casting and machined components
- Moulding processes
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Surface finishing
- Assembly processes
- Pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies
- Mechanical inspection methods
- Production planning and workflow optimisation
Instrumentation Experience (Highly Preferred)
Candidates with experience manufacturing or assembling industrial instrumentation products will be strongly preferred.

Who We're Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 8–15 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 3 years leading a production team.
- Experience managing shop-floor manpower and production planning.
- Strong understanding of machining, assembly and industrial manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in ISO-certified manufacturing environments.
- Good understanding of quality control and root cause analysis.
- Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working on the shop floor and leading by example.
