Role Description The Factory Acceptance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sriperumbudur. This position is responsible for planning and executing factory acceptance tests (FAT) for solar power systems and related equipment, ensuring products meet technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements. Daily activities include reviewing engineering documents, preparing test procedures, coordinating with production and quality teams, performing inspections, documenting test results, and supporting root-cause analysis for nonconformities. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues, improve testing processes, and ensure timely readiness of systems for shipment. The role also involves maintaining testing records, adhering to applicable standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the factory environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electrical or electronics engineering, preferably with experience in solar or power systems; bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- Knowledge of factory acceptance testing methodologies, test procedures, and quality assurance practices, including familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications, and translate them into clear test plans and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments, with practical skills in handling test instruments, conducting inspections, and documenting results accurately.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, engineering, quality, and customer teams, along with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced factory setting.
- Familiarity with renewable energy or solar power systems is an advantage; prior exposure to FusionSolar or similar technologies is a plus.
