Key Responsibilities:
- Operate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective, and efficient manner, including HV operations.
- Assist in coordination and control of all activities undertaken by specialist Service Providers.
- Ensure Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off, quality of work is inspected, and defects/recommendations are actioned or escalated accordingly.
- Assist with obtaining quotations and/or ordering parts required to maintain plant operation and/or system resilience.
- Arrange Specialist Service Provider visits and reactive calls when necessary.
- Maintain highest level of housekeeping in Engineering Control Room, plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas, and specifically designated areas of responsibility.
- Undertake and/or support ad-hoc requests from the Engineering Management Team.
- Ensure all site tools/equipment and keys inventory are kept up to date and in calibration.
- Follow all local processes and escalation procedures.
- Be familiar with standard and emergency operating procedures and provide training to ensure shift engineers are familiarised.
- Ability to carry out controlled switching of UPS, Generators, HV and LV switchgear for maintenance works or recovery from failure.
- Issue/Close/Inspect work permits and areas of work when required (HV, LV, Switching Logs, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Access, Hot Works, Mechanical Works, Roof Working, Confined Space).
- Maintain Life Safety Systems Logs.
- Complete and update EHS documentation, including delivery of toolbox talks to engineers.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Direct experience in directing technical services within a critical environment, preferably in both self-delivered and outsourced engineering services contracts.
- Leadership skills, adept at managing diverse teams across multiple regions.
- Experience in operational facilities management and managing services to meet KPIs.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices, innovations, and energy management.
- Understanding of building regulations, legislation compliance, and best working practices.
- Experience in financial management and budgeting, identifying cost savings/avoidance.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple work streams and proactively resolve challenges or issues.
- Confident in presenting information and delivering training to colleagues and peers.
- Strategic thinking to implement continual improvements to service delivery.
- Ability to build and maintain positive client relations and networks at all levels.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support engineering/service partners with communicating impacts of scheduled or unplanned works to the client and leadership.
- Take ownership and act accordingly to close any non-conformity from audits, assessments, and inspections.
- Oversight of data integrity (sensor data, floor plans, team org charts, DART).
- Support use of technology and digital platforms for agile Guest Experience team delivery.
- Manage site performance metrics and proactively manage completion of all workload within SLAs and KPIs.
- Coordinate supply partners, ensuring adherence to EHS rules and procedures, and drive innovation.
- Work alongside Catering and Events team for event planning and organisation.
- Ensure finance and procurement processes are adhered to and tasks completed timely.
- Maintain accurate asset register and target Carbon Net Zero as a team priority.
- Coordinate and communicate delivery for special requests requiring input from other teams.
- Ensure good communication between teams and stakeholders, proactively sharing information and confirming actions.
- Develop stakeholder relationships to anticipate business needs.
- Implement "New Joiner Welcoming Sessions" for new hires, arranging access, welcome packs, and site tours.
- Proactively look for opportunities to improve workspace operations delivery.
- Carry out assigned audits and inspections and manage actions through to completion.
- Ensure safe and compliant building, report good catches, and manage actions through to completion.
- Manage building access system if applicable.
- Support and oversee IT issues impacting colleague experience, escalating where necessary.
Desired or Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:
- Experience in managing facilities, property management, hospitality, or related fields.
- People management competence.
- Proficiency with computer equipment and programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), keen interest in technology.
- Experience using Building Management Systems and Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for Preventative Planned Maintenance.
- Knowledge of in-country requirements related to building regulations, H&S, contractors, statutory regulations, etc.
- Experience in project management.
Location and Working Hours:
- Site-based role, working standard hours Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Located on site at the client's offices.
- Flexible to work in shifts or occasionally out of hours when requested.
- Part of the on-call system for site.
