Role Description The Facility Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Gurugram, responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of university facilities. This position manages building systems, housekeeping, landscaping, and security services to ensure a clean, efficient, and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff. The role includes coordinating with vendors and service providers, planning preventive maintenance schedules, and supervising repairs and upgrades to infrastructure and equipment. The Facility Manager will monitor budgets related to facilities, maintain compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards, and implement policies and procedures to optimize space utilization. The role also involves responding to facility-related issues, leading a facilities team, and preparing regular reports on operations, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong facilities management and operations skills, including experience with building maintenance, housekeeping oversight, and vendor coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills in health, safety, and regulatory compliance, including knowledge of fire safety, security protocols, and statutory building requirements.
- Candidates should possess planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedule preventive maintenance, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, including supervising staff, delegating responsibilities, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Candidates should possess communication and stakeholder management skills, including clear reporting, negotiation with vendors, and effective interaction with academic and administrative units.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or along with prior experience in managing large institutional or educational facilities.
- Proficiency with facility management software, basic office productivity tools, and comfort with data-driven decision-making will be beneficial.
