About the role

Summary

The Registered Nurse / RN for Surgical Unit Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. The Registered Nurse / RN Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree)

Experience

Preferred: 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg as Registered Nurse / RN

Certifications

Required: 

  • Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse / RN
  • BLS required for all–Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
