About the Role
The Operational Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end facility management operations across multiple locations. The role involves overseeing service delivery, maintenance activities, client relationship management, team leadership, vendor coordination, budget control, and compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. The position requires regular travel to client sites to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily facility management operations across multiple sites.
- Ensure the delivery of hard and soft FM services in accordance with contractual requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle multiple client accounts simultaneously while ensuring high service standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding operational matters.
- Conduct regular client meetings, operational reviews, and performance presentations.
- Address client concerns, escalations, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth and retention.
- Travel regularly to multiple client locations to oversee operations and ensure service quality.
- Support site teams in resolving operational challenges and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Ensure efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and other building systems.
- Monitor asset performance and lifecycle management.
- Lead and supervise facility managers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and employee development programs.
- Ensure effective manpower planning and resource allocation.
- Manage contractors and service providers to ensure contractual compliance.
- Monitor vendor performance and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Facility Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple client accounts and multisite operations.
