Role Description The Facilitator Early Years Home Room and Day Care is a full-time, on-site role based at Kai Early Years in Bengaluru. This role involves creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children in both home room and day care settings, aligned with the school’s Montessori and IB-PYP philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences, facilitating inquiry and play-based activities, and supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. The facilitator will observe and document children’s progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families about each child’s experiences and growth. Additional tasks include collaborating with colleagues, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards, preparing learning materials and environments, and participating in professional development and school events.
Qualifications
- Strong early childhood pedagogy skills, including experience with play-based, inquiry-driven, and experiential learning approaches.
- Knowledge or training in Montessori, IB-PYP, or other international early years curricula, with the ability to integrate these frameworks into daily practice.
- Ability to create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments, with attention to child wellbeing, hygiene, and age-appropriate classroom management.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with children, families, and multidisciplinary educator teams.
- Competence in observation, documentation, and basic record-keeping related to children’s learning and development.
- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field; a diploma or degree is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children aged 0–8 in a preschool, nursery, kindergarten, or day care setting.
- Openness to ongoing professional learning, reflective practice, and alignment with Kai’s mission to transform early years education.
