Role Description
The Facilitator (Early Years Assistant Facilitator) is a full-time, on-site role based at a KLAY centre in Gurugram. The role involves supporting lead educators in implementing play-based learning experiences, maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment, and assisting with daily routines such as arrival, dispersal, mealtimes, and rest periods. The Facilitator engages children in age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, while observing and documenting their progress. Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene and safety standards, preparing learning materials, communicating with parents and guardians as needed, and collaborating with the centre team to ensure high-quality early childhood experiences. The Facilitator may also support inclusive practices and early intervention efforts under guidance from senior staff.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of early childhood development, child psychology, or preschool education, preferably supported by a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, or similar settings, with the ability to facilitate play-based and experiential learning activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage children, collaborate with colleagues, and interact professionally with parents and caregivers.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment, following health, hygiene, and child-safeguarding protocols.
- Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity, with a commitment to inclusive education and supporting children where required.
- Basic record-keeping and observation skills to document children’s development and share accurate updates with the teaching team and families.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training, adhere to KLAY’s curriculum framework, and align with child-first values and professional conduct standards.
