Role Description This is a full-time, on-site FACADE DESIGNER role based in Gurgaon. The FACADE DESIGNER will be responsible for preparing detailed facade and glazing design drawings, shop drawings, and technical documentation for building envelope systems. Daily tasks include coordinating with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to develop compliant, efficient, and visually appealing facade solutions. The role involves performing basic structural and performance checks, reviewing material specifications, and ensuring alignment with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements. The FACADE DESIGNER will also support project teams during execution, address design-related queries, and contribute to design optimization for cost, constructability, and long-term performance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of facade systems, including Facade and Facade Design for curtain walls, windows, doors, and related building envelope components.
- Experience with Cladding solutions, including material selection, detailing, and integration with other facade elements.
- Proficiency in Glazing design and detailing, including understanding of glass specifications, performance, and installation methods.
- Ability to prepare accurate Shop Drawings and technical documentation for fabrication and installation.
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with relevant facade design software.
- Understanding of structural and thermal performance, energy efficiency, and facade-related codes and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
