Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Facade Designer role based in Gurugram. The Facade Designer will develop detailed facade concepts and translate them into accurate design drawings and technical documentation. Daily responsibilities include preparing shop drawings, coordinating cladding and glazing details, and ensuring facade designs meet aesthetic, structural, and performance requirements. The role involves collaborating with project managers, structural engineers, suppliers, and site teams to resolve design issues, optimize material usage, and support installation. The Facade Designer will also review project specifications, participate in design reviews, and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in facade design, including Facade and Facade Design for commercial and residential projects.
- Candidates should possess expertise in external envelope materials and systems, including Cladding and Glazing.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing and interpreting technical documentation, including Shop Drawings.
- Candidates should possess experience with CAD/BIM design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and 2D/3D drafting for facade layouts and details.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of structural behavior, building physics, and relevant building codes related to facades.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in facade engineering or facade contracting is highly beneficial.
