Role Description The Fabrication Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Rajkot Area. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day fabrication operations, including planning and assigning work, monitoring production schedules, and ensuring that aluminum profiles are fabricated according to specifications and quality standards. The supervisor coordinates with production, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize machine utilization, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement in processes. Daily tasks include supervising shop floor personnel, training team members on safe work practices, reviewing drawings and work orders, and inspecting finished products for accuracy and finishing quality. The role also involves maintaining safety and housekeeping standards, tracking material usage, preparing basic reports on productivity and defects, and supporting implementation of lean manufacturing and cost-control initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, aluminum extrusion, and basic mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience supervising shop floor teams in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and quality specifications.
- Knowledge of production planning, workflow optimization, and basic lean manufacturing concepts.
- Familiarity with safety standards, PPE requirements, and incident reporting in an industrial setting.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Effective communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills to manage a diverse workforce.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under time and volume constraints.
- Prior experience in aluminum fabrication, extrusion plants, or similar industries is preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
