Position Overview
Anzo Controls is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication shop operations, manpower management, production quality, and timely execution of fabrication activities. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in metal fabrication, welding processes, and shop floor coordination with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day fabrication activities including cutting, welding, drilling, grinding, assembly, and finishing operations.
- Manage fabrication technicians, welders, helpers, and machine operators to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication layouts, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with production, design, and project teams for execution of fabrication work as per schedule.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials, tools, machines, and manpower.
- Monitor fabrication quality and ensure adherence to company standards and client requirements.
- Maintain production reports, work progress records, and material consumption data.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and workshop discipline.
- Identify process improvements to increase productivity and reduce rework or wastage.
- Coordinate machine maintenance and ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
- Train and guide shop floor workers on fabrication techniques and safety practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of MS/SS fabrication, welding processes, and fabrication machinery.
- Ability to read technical drawings and fabrication blueprints.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Understanding of quality control and safety standards.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.
