Job Summary:
Responsible for managing end-to-end production and fabrication activities for both metal and wooden works. This includes planning materials, supervising workers, ensuring quality, and delivering projects on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage daily production and fabrication activities (metal & wood)
- Estimate and calculate required materials for each project
- Coordinate procurement of raw materials and ensure proper stock levels
- Supervise workshop staff (fabricators, welders, carpenters, helpers)
- Ensure work is completed as per drawings, specifications, and timelines
- Monitor quality of fabrication and finishing work
- Optimize material usage and reduce wastage
- Assign tasks and ensure efficient utilization of manpower
- Maintain tools, machines, and workshop equipment
- Ensure safety practices are followed in the workshop
- Coordinate with design/sales teams for project requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure smooth workflow
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in both metal / SS fabrication and wood working
- Strong knowledge of materials, measurements, and costing
- Ability to read drawings and execute work accordingly
- Good leadership and team handling skills
- Hands-on approach with problem-solving ability
- Basic knowledge of tools, machines, and workshop operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Experience:
- 3–8 years in fabrication/workshop management
- Experience in small to mid-size manufacturing/workshop setup
