Fabrication & Erection EngineerLarsen & Toubrofull-timeRequired skillscomplianceAbout the role Larsen & Toubro Website: larsentoubro.com Job details: Fabrication & Erection SupervisionSupervise fabrication of structural steel, piping, equipment supports, tanks, ducts, and mechanical assemblies.Monitor erection activities including alignment, leveling, bolting, and welding.Ensure erection is carried out as per GA drawings, shop drawings, and method statements. Drawing & Technical CoordinationStudy and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and specifications.Coordinate with design/engineering teams to resolve drawing discrepancies.Mark up drawings with site changes and submit as-built details. Quality ControlEnsure compliance with QA/QC procedures, WPS, welding parameters, and inspection requirements.Coordinate with QC engineers for fit-up inspection, welding inspection, NDT, and final acceptance.Maintain fabrication and erection records, checklists, and reports. Planning & Progress MonitoringPlan daily and weekly work schedules for fabrication and erection teams.Monitor progress against project timelines and report delays.Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, and materials for uninterrupted work. Safety & ComplianceEnforce HSE rules, safety procedures, and permit-to-work systems.Conduct toolbox talks and ensure use of PPE by workforce.Identify hazards related to lifting, hot work, and working at height. Coordination & Site ManagementCoordinate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for interface activities.Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs. Material & Resource ManagementVerify material availability against drawings and BOQs.Monitor material handling, storage, and proper identification.Assist in material reconciliation.
