- Fabrication & Erection Supervision
- Supervise fabrication of structural steel, piping, equipment supports, tanks, ducts, and mechanical assemblies.
- Monitor erection activities including alignment, leveling, bolting, and welding.
- Ensure erection is carried out as per GA drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
- Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Study and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and specifications.
- Coordinate with design/engineering teams to resolve drawing discrepancies.
- Mark up drawings with site changes and submit as-built details.
- Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, WPS, welding parameters, and inspection requirements.
- Coordinate with QC engineers for fit-up inspection, welding inspection, NDT, and final acceptance.
- Maintain fabrication and erection records, checklists, and reports.
- Planning & Progress Monitoring
- Plan daily and weekly work schedules for fabrication and erection teams.
- Monitor progress against project timelines and report delays.
- Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, and materials for uninterrupted work.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce HSE rules, safety procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure use of PPE by workforce.
- Identify hazards related to lifting, hot work, and working at height.
- Coordination & Site Management
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for interface activities.
- Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs.
- Material & Resource Management
- Verify material availability against drawings and BOQs.
- Monitor material handling, storage, and proper identification.
- Assist in material reconciliation.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily progress reports and manpower reports.
- Maintain erection logs, welding logs, and inspection records.
