We are looking for a talented and experienced Fabrication Engineer to join our growing design and manufacturing team in Hyderabad.
At Shaya Lighting, we pride ourselves on blending aesthetics with engineering to deliver premium, design-driven architectural, indoor, and outdoor LED lighting solutions. We control our entire manufacturing ecosystem—including die-casting, powder coating, sheet metal work, and specialized extrusions.

Role Overview
- Position: Fabrication Engineer
- Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
- Experience Required: 5+ Years (Preferred: Previous experience in the Lighting Industry)
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Design-to-Manufacturing Translation: Work closely with me and the design team to translate 2D/3D fixture concepts and technical drawings into highly efficient production workflows.
- Process Planning: Develop and establish production steps and set precise tooling/fixturing requirements.
- Advanced Material Manipulation: Oversee the fabrication of various metals and plastics, utilizing key in-house processes such as Die-Casting, Sheet Metal Forming, Powder Coating, and Extrusions.
- Floor & Quality Control: Supervise shop floor operations, perform component-level root-cause failure analysis, and ensure all fabricated fixtures meet rigid architectural quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce material waste, optimize machine cycle times, and improve manufacturing yields.
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in a structured fabrication or manufacturing setup. Prior experience in lighting company is a major plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Metallurgy.
- Technical Software: Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to review and refine assembly models.
- Fabrication Knowledge: Expert-level mastery over diverse manufacturing methods, metal forming (press brakes, CNC machining, cutting), and welding technologies (MIG/TIG).
- Core Skills: Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), material properties, and finishing processes (anodizing, powder coating).
