Mail:- info@naukripay.com Fabric Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of textile materials, from sourcing and development to quality control and inventory management, acting as a liaison between mills, design, and production teams. They ensure high-quality fabric procurement, negotiate costs, and manage lead times to meet production deadlines and quality standards. VelvetJobs VelvetJobs 2 Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Development: Identify and source high-quality fabrics, maintain relationships with mills/suppliers, and develop new fabric constructions. Negotiation & Purchasing: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness. Quality Control (QC): Implement quality standards, perform tests (shrinkage, colorfastness), and evaluate incoming materials for compliance. Production Coordination: Work with design and production teams to plan fabric needs, manage lead times, and optimize usage to reduce wastage. Inventory Management: Oversee storage, track orders, manage stock levels, and use ERP systems for tracking. Trend Analysis: Identify market trends and new fabric technologies. Indeed Indeed 6 Required Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology, Textile Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. Experience: Generally 3–10 years of experience in fabric sourcing, textile manufacturing, or QC. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of textile manufacturing, woven/knit fabric construction, dyeing, finishing, and quality standards. Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP software.
