Role Description The Fabric Manager role at Naukripay group is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur. This role involves managing the entire fabric lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, quality control, and coordination with vendors and internal teams. The Fabric Manager oversees fabric inspection, testing, and approvals to ensure that all materials meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with production, design, and merchandising teams to meet project timelines. The role also includes leading and guiding team members, resolving fabric-related issues, and continuously improving processes to support efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong textiles knowledge and hands-on experience with different fabric types, construction, and finishes.
- Candidates should possess skills in procurement and negotiation to manage supplier relationships, pricing, and contract terms effectively.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, including fabric testing, inspection, and adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
- Candidates should possess team management skills to lead, coordinate, and develop staff while ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration.
- Relevant experience in fabric management or sourcing within apparel, home textiles, or related industries is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for working with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or degree in textiles, garment technology, fashion technology, or a related field is preferred.
