Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fabric Manager based in Chennai. The Fabric Manager will oversee the sourcing, procurement, and quality control processes for fabrics. Responsibilities include collaborating with vendors to negotiate contracts, ensuring fabric quality standards, managing inventory, and working closely with teams to ensure timely supply chain execution. The role also involves supervising a team, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to process improvements to optimize procurement and fabric management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of fabrics and textiles, including various types, quality standards, and industry trends
- Experience in Procurement and Negotiation to ensure cost-effective and quality fabric sourcing
- Skilled in Quality Control to maintain consistent standards in fabric production and procurement
- Proven ability in Team Management and coordination to ensure efficient operations
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai and lead a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
