Role Description The Fabric Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. This role involves assisting with fabric handling, including receiving, checking, and organizing fabric stocks in the store or warehouse. The Fabric Assistant supports shelving and inventory management, ensuring accurate labeling, storage, and stock rotation. The role includes coordinating with sales and customer service teams on fabric availability, preparing fabric samples, and responding to internal requests for fabric information. The Fabric Assistant will be expected to maintain cleanliness and order in fabric areas, follow safety and quality procedures, and collaborate with team members to meet production timelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with internal teams and, when required, external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess basic Sales and product support skills to assist in fabric selection and provide accurate fabric-related information.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in Shelving and managing Stocks, including organizing, counting, and tracking fabric inventory.
- Attention to detail and basic numerical skills for measuring fabric, recording stock data, and identifying discrepancies.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, manage physical tasks related to fabric handling, and follow safety and quality guidelines.
- Prior experience in fabric stores, garment manufacturing, or textile warehouses is an advantage.
- Secondary education or vocational training in textiles, fashion, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
