Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Facade Designer with a
BE in Mechanical Engineering to design, develop, and support the execution of building facade systems. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, coordinating with architects and project teams, and ensuring that facade designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and aesthetic requirements. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of facade materials and systems along with proficiency in design software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop facade concepts, layouts, and detailed technical drawings.
- Prepare 2D and 3D facade models, detailing, and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless design integration.
- Develop facade system details including curtain wall systems, structural glazing, cladding systems, and aluminum facade structures.
- Conduct material research and recommend appropriate glass, aluminum, ACP, stone, and composite facade materials based on project requirements.
- Review and validate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Support the tendering and procurement process by providing technical inputs and specifications.
- Ensure facade designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and performance requirements such as thermal insulation, waterproofing, and wind load resistance.
- Coordinate with project teams during fabrication and installation stages to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in design reviews, prototype evaluation, and mock-up inspections.
