Role Overview
The F&B Trainer is responsible for executing structured training programs across TSP outlets to ensure operational consistency, service excellence, product knowledge, and guest experience standards. The role focuses on onboarding, SOP adherence, service capability building, and continuous skill enhancement of outlet teams across QSR and casual dining formats.
Key Responsibilities1. Training & Development
- Conduct induction training for new joiners covering service standards, SOPs, hygiene, grooming, and product knowledge.
- Deliver structured training modules on service flow, guest handling, upselling, hospitality etiquette, and operational execution.
- Train teams on menu knowledge including ingredients, allergens, preparation basics, and selling points.
- Conduct beverage and basic barista training including coffee standards, machine handling, and beverage SOPs.
- Support rollout training for new menu launches, campaigns, and operational changes.
2. Performance & Skill Enhancement
- Conduct on-ground observations to identify operational and service skill gaps.
- Provide coaching and corrective training to improve execution standards.
- Conduct mock service drills, role plays, and practical assessments.
- Support outlet managers in developing high-potential team members.
3. Quality & Standardization
- Ensure outlet-level compliance with SOPs, hygiene protocols, grooming standards, and guest experience benchmarks.
- Monitor training effectiveness and consistency across outlets.
- Recommend operational improvements to enhance service efficiency and customer experience.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain training attendance records, assessments, feedback reports, and certification trackers.
- Submit weekly and monthly training reports to the Training Manager and Operations Team.
- Update SOP manuals, training decks, checklists, and learning materials as required.
- Coordinate regular data updates on LMS and internal training trackers.
5. Coordination & Operational Support
- Coordinate with Operations and Outlet Managers to schedule and execute training calendars.
- Support pre-opening and launch training for new outlets.
- Assist in conducting staff evaluations, audits, and operational assessments.
- Travel across outlets in Bengaluru and Kerala based on business requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in hospitality training, F&B operations training, or service training.
- Strong understanding of QSR/Casual Dining operations and service standards.
- Experience in conducting structured operational and service training programs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and manage teams in high-paced operational environments.
- Strong understanding of guest experience, grooming, hygiene, and hospitality etiquette.
- Basic knowledge of coffee and beverage operations preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and training documentation systems.
- Prior experience in restaurant, café, bakery, or hospitality operations preferred.
