Role Description The F&B Service Associate is a full-time, on-site position located in Udupi Taluka. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, and serving items in a timely and courteous manner. The associate ensures tables and service areas are clean, properly set, and stocked, and supports the team in maintaining hygiene and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with the kitchen handling billing and payment procedures, responding to guest requests or concerns, and promoting special menu items or events. The role also involves working flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support smooth restaurant operations and consistent guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to interact professionally with diverse guests and team members.
- Clear and courteous Communication abilities, including listening skills and basic proficiency in English and local languages.
- Basic Analytical Skills to manage orders, check bills, and support accurate cash handling or point-of-sale operations.
- Fundamental Finance awareness related to billing, payment methods, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, hospitality, or restaurant operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food safety, hygiene practices, and standard service etiquette.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays safely, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent; formal hospitality training or certification is an advantage.
