Position Title: Manager – Food & Beverage (F&B)
Reporting Line: City Lead, F&B SME
Location: Hinjewadi - Phase 3
Role Overview
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager is responsible for overseeing all F&B operations across facilities within the assigned city or region. This role involves working closely with the JLL Pan-India F&B SME and reporting to the respective JLL City Lead to ensure seamless operations, compliance, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarize and operate as per the Scope of Work defined in the JLL–Client Agreement.
- Ensure strict adherence to the HOCO (Handbook on Cafeteria Operations).
- Comply with EHS, EMS, and OH&S standards and requirements.
- Guide and support the IFM F&B team and vendor teams, especially during BCP (Business Continuity Plan) scenarios.
- Conduct periodic audits and inspections of all F&B operations and share reports with stakeholders.
- Represent F&B in internal and external audits and ensure readiness at all times.
- Drive audit closures by identifying RCA (Root Cause Analysis), CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and process improvements.
- Support F&B event coordination, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Manage procurement and inventory of F&B equipment and service ware.
- Review and improve weekly menus in collaboration with service providers.
- Evaluate vendors to ensure consistent quality and contractual compliance.
- Conduct periodic review meetings with service providers to address concerns and ensure mutual success.
- Participate in Cuisine CREW meetings and ensure timely closure of action points.
- Follow escalation and incident reporting procedures.
- Prepare and track monthly reports for stakeholders and the Pan-India F&B SME.
- Oversee vendor invoicing and ensure timely payments.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and highlight deviations.
- Support procurement and facility teams with BOQs and SOWs.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through feedback and action plans.
- Manage day-to-day operations to the highest standards.
- Lead, recruit, train, and evaluate IFM F&B team members.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and open communication.
- Travel within the city to manage multiple facilities.
- Adhere to JLL’s Code of Ethics, business conduct, and information security guidelines.
Operational Activities
- Ensure smooth and timely operations of café and pantry services.
- Verify F&B records and checklists maintained by service providers.
- Conduct Gemba walks and routine facility inspections.
- Monitor kitchens, pantries, gas banks, and storerooms.
- Participate in daily food tastings where possible.
- Ensure food sampling and external lab tests as per RPI index.
- Analyze employee feedback and ensure timely closure of QR feedback and ACT tickets.
- Plan and manage monthly procurement.
- Conduct monthly medical check-ups for all F&B staff.
- Ensure pest control and deep cleaning activities are carried out regularly.
- Coordinate food festivals, pop-ups, events, and refreshment arrangements.
- Manage billing closure for events.
- Participate in Cuisine Crew meetings.
- Handle food safety escalations and incidents.
- Ensure vendor compliance (FSSAI, bank guarantees, labor licenses, catering licenses, MSA).
- Oversee F&B training and on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
- Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
- Maintain cafeteria snag lists and F&B risk registers.
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.
- Review staff medical reports in line with FSSAI standards.
- Monitor inventory management (FIFO, BCP stock).
- Ensure proper storage of dry and perishable items.
- Schedule periodic duct cleaning.
- Manage AMC for kitchen and cafeteria equipment.
- Ensure optimal lighting (lux levels) in cafeteria and service areas.
- Provide support during BCP situations as required.
