Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and guest-focused F&B Captain with strong knowledge of Pan-Asian and Japanese cuisine to lead restaurant service operations. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional dining experiences, guide guests through the menu, and maintain high service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead the service team to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Provide detailed menu explanations, especially Pan-Asian and Japanese dishes, ingredients, and preparation styles
- Assist guests with recommendations, including food and beverage pairings
- Ensure timely and accurate service while maintaining fine dining standards
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally
- Train staff on cuisine knowledge, service etiquette, and hygiene standards
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen for order accuracy and special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards
- Manage reservations, table allocation, and service flow
Required Qualifications- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in restaurant service, preferably in Pan-Asian or Japanese dining
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine (sushi, sashimi, ramen, etc.) and Pan-Asian dishes
- Excellent communication and upselling skills
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills- Knowledge of Japanese dining etiquette and terminology
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong guest engagement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts
