Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst

The Data Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data within the data lake environment. This position involves working with large sets of structured and unstructured data to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools. The role will serve as a bridge between the data lake technical team and business stakeholders, utilizing the data lake to inform and fulfill business requirements. This role also involves analyzing data, gathering business requirements, and ensuring that the insights derived from the data lake align with business objectives. Candidate must have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards that track key business metrics. Collaborate with business units to understand their data analysis needs and define key performance indicators (KPIs). Extract, clean, and prepare data from the data lake for analysis using SQL and other data manipulation languages. Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling to uncover trends and correlations. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to visualize data and communicate findings. Interpret data and analyze results to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Work closely with data engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility within the data lake. Support the implementation of data governance and data quality standards. Document analytical methodologies and create standard operating procedures for recurring analyses. Stay current with the latest analytics trends, tools, and techniques. Assist in training and guiding business users on data analytics and visualization best practices. Manage ad-hoc reporting requests and deliver timely responses to business inquiries.
