Mechanical Design Engineer Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ExxonMobil, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment to support our global operations. You will utilize your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our facilities. Responsibilities: - Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components to meet operational requirements - Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for procurement and fabrication - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements - Provide technical support and guidance during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in the oil and gas or chemical industries - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including stress analysis, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics - Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and design analysis tools - Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities - Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
