Job Role: Exterior Lighting Design Engineer – Automotive (Headlamp / Tail Lamp)
Work Experience: 3+ Years
Job Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automotive exterior lighting systems including headlamps and tail lamps.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CATIA.
- Work on plastic components for both interior and exterior applications.
- Ensure design feasibility considering injection molding and tooling constraints.
- Perform design validation and support product lifecycle activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, tooling, and quality.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in automotive lighting design (headlamp / tail lamp mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of plastic component design.
- Hands-on expertise in CATIA (surface and solid modeling).
- Understanding of injection molding processes.
- Exposure to the automotive domain.
- Good collaboration and problem-solving skills.
